Colombiamoda, innovation and design that transform

 

Creativity and transformation are the indissoluble pair that today marks guidelines of creation. Create means making things in a way that has not been done before, while transform means that the unpublished way of doing things has an impact on the quality of life of man.

 

Colombiamoda 2010 opens its doors between July 27 and 29 at Plaza MayorMedellin, to surprise with new ways of thinking, creating and transforming.  


The Tradeshow is an inclusive commercial space that coherently links all players of the textile apparel design and fashion sector, having again the presence of exhibitors of leather goods, footwear, leather, jewelry and costume jewelry, as an essential part of modern attire.

 

Thanks to the permanent support of Proexport Colombia and the efforts jointly made with Inexmoda to generate joint strategies towards the consolidation and increase in business of international buyers that visit Colombiamoda, more than 1,500 international buyers are expected to visit this edition of the Tradeshow and be motivated to close deals.

 

Likewise and in order to motivate and potentiate the national market, Inexmoda, the Textile/Apparel, Design and Fashion Cluster and the Project Medellin, City Cluster, will hold the National Business Encounter to be held on July 28 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. during the Tradeshow, a space perfect to do business that will facilitate the commercial efforts of companies and will allow expanding the client portfolio. This initiative will be complemented with the work done by Inexmoda with Fenalco and different national Institutions and the most important Chambers of Commerce around the country to generate strategies that motivate the closing of national deals during the Tradeshow.

 

In this tradeshow edition we will again have the Inexmoda Knowledge Pavilion, located during the Tradeshow days in the Metropolitan Theater. It will be an open space free of charge that intends to update those passionate for fashion and design on several issues, and that in this edition will have around 18 conferences with a central axis of “creativity that transforms”, all given by well-known national and international speakers.

 

Colombiamoda has also stood out as one of the most important fashion weeks in Latin America, given that together with the commercial sample of 430 exhibitors in apparel, home, leather goods, jewelry, costume jewelry and footwear, around 25 runway shows are held evidencing Colombian creativity and talent. This year the Tradeshow runways are the scenario chosen to commemorate the anniversary of traditional Colombian companies that have always participated with Inexmoda and that see Colombiamoda as the best scenario to celebrate. This is how Colombian export-quality talent of designers and brands will be exalted, supporting the central theme of the Tradeshow, Creative Transformation through their collections and runways.

 

On the other hand and continuing with the intention of promoting Latin American talent and making Colombiamoda the launching pad for young fashion-design students to the world, once again, the contest Latin America Speaks will be exhibited and awarded during the Tradeshow, organized by  Inexmoda and that had its first edition last year, with the participation of 90 students from countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela and in this edition expects to continue attracting young talent under the theme of inspiration: creative transformation.

 

Not to be missed:

  • The relaxing spaces that Natura will have within the tradeshow premises and backstage work during the runways, given that Natura will be the official make-up artist of 2010 and event sponsor.
  • The facilities provided by Copa Airlines and Aero República to its users by becoming the official airline and sponsor of the Tradeshow.
  • The programming offered by FLA – Fábrica de Licores de Antioquia – during the nights of Colombiamoda in the Urban Area.
  • The Area Gourmet Carulla that will again offer a varied and delicious option to eat within the Tradeshow in a wide space located in the Urban Area of the event that will comfortably meet the eating needs of exhibitors, buyers and visitors.
